Every 2 weeks the children are set a new spelling focus. Due to the impact of COVID-19 this term (Autumn 21) we are revising the PHASE 3 or PHASE 5 Phonemes.
The children are tested on the Monday of week 1 to see what they know. Then the words are posted on SEESAW for you to practise at home.
The FRIDAY of week 2 the children are re-tested.
The children enjoy seeing the progress they make and this helps build confidence and self-esteem.
During each afternoon of GUIDED READING the children have the opportunity to practise their words as well as whole class practise in the morning.
